Westmount

Westmount which is often mistaken as a portion of Westsyde, is located right off the exit from 8^th Street onto Westsyde Road. A collection of mature homes, this area is popular for young families looking for larger lot sizes, privacy while being a 5 minute drive from downtown Kamloops. Students in the area attend the nearby elementary school which is directed located within the neighbourhood.  There is a small fenced playground  in the area that directly leads to the River Trails which is a popular walking trail that follows the river from Westsyde to Downtown.

SCHOOLS

Primary students attend Westmount Elementary which is located on the corner of Walkem Road and Westsyde Road. Students in Gr 7-9 attend Brock Middle School which shares a field with Kay Bingham.  Secondary students attend Norkam Secondary School which offers a Trades and Technology program thanks to their partnership with Thompson Rivers University. On the North Side of Kamloops there is also multiple private and schools of choice (OLPH, Bert Edwards School of Technology, Kamloops Christian School and École Collines-D’Or).  Please see the SD73 catchment map for more information.
